From conversation to answers

From Mac audio to your next task.

HyNote captures what was said. ChatGPT and Codex help you work with the notes you saved.

  1. 01

    Record with HyNote

Choose Meeting Recording in HyNote for Mac and allow system audio and microphone access. Start recording your Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams call without inviting a bot.

  2. 02

    Save the transcript

Keep the transcript and summary in your signed-in HyNote account. Give the note a clear title so you can find it again in ChatGPT or Codex.

  3. 03

    Work in ChatGPT or Codex

Connect HyNote and ask to find and read the meeting note. Use ChatGPT for answers and follow-ups, or Codex to turn requirements into a development plan and implementation.

The connection reads notes saved in your HyNote account. If a recording stays only on your Mac, add its transcript to your account as a text note first. See the Mac recording guide →

Start with a real question

From “What did we say?” to “Let’s build it.”

Ask ChatGPT or Codex to read the relevant HyNote note first. Then give it a concrete task.

ChatGPT

Catch up on a meeting

Find my “Product launch meeting” note in HyNote and read the transcript. What were the key decisions?
ChatGPT

Draft the follow-up

Read my latest client call note in HyNote. Draft a short follow-up email with action items, owners, and deadlines. Flag anything we left undecided.
Codex

Turn a meeting into a plan

Read my “Product requirements meeting” note in HyNote. Turn the agreed requirements into development tasks and acceptance criteria. List open questions before making changes.
Codex

Build from the decisions

Read the “Pricing page review” note in HyNote and inspect this project. Propose an implementation plan for the agreed changes, then implement them and run the relevant checks.

Keep working from what was actually said.

Answers with meeting context

Bring a saved transcript into ChatGPT. Ask about decisions, compare conversations, and draft the next email without recreating the meeting from memory.

Requirements for your code

Let Codex read the meeting note alongside your project. Turn product discussions, bug reports, and design reviews into tasks, implementation plans, and code changes.

A useful result you can keep

With write access, ask ChatGPT or Codex to save a recap, draft, or plan as a new text note in HyNote. Keep the result alongside the conversation that started it.

  1. 1

    Install the HyNote plugin

In ChatGPT, use “Open in ChatGPT” to find HyNote. In Codex, open the Plugins Directory, search for HyNote, and install it.

  2. 2

    Connect your HyNote account

Sign in when prompted with the account where your meeting notes are saved. Approve the permissions you want to grant.

  3. 3

Start a task with your notes

Start a new chat and ask “Find my recent meeting notes in HyNote.” Choose a note to read, then ask a question or give ChatGPT or Codex a task.

Listing and reading notes require the corresponding permissions. Creating a new text note requires write access. The connection cannot edit or delete existing notes.

A few things to know.

Can I record meetings and work with them in ChatGPT or Codex?

Yes. Record and transcribe the meeting in HyNote, save the note in your HyNote account, and connect the HyNote plugin in ChatGPT or Codex. Ask it to find and read the note before asking questions or starting a task. Recording happens in HyNote; the saved meeting content becomes context for your work.

What can I do with meeting notes in Codex?

Ask Codex to read a HyNote meeting note and use it with your project: extract requirements, outline development tasks, write acceptance criteria, investigate a reported bug, or implement agreed changes. The note supplies context; give Codex a clear task and ask it to flag missing details.

Does a bot join my meeting?

No. HyNote for Mac captures system audio and your microphone directly on your computer. No recording bot appears in the participant list. You can use it with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

How do I connect HyNote?

In ChatGPT, click “Open in ChatGPT” on this page and install HyNote. In Codex, find HyNote in the Plugins Directory and install it. Connect your HyNote account when prompted, then start a new chat and ask it to find a saved note.

Can the connection read recordings kept only on my Mac?

The connection reads notes saved in your signed-in HyNote account. A recording or transcript kept only on your Mac is not available through this connection. Copy its transcript into a text note in your HyNote account first, or use the transcript directly as context for a Codex task in your local project.

Can I save results back to HyNote?

Yes, when you grant write access. Ask ChatGPT or Codex to create a new text note with a title and body, such as a meeting recap, follow-up draft, or implementation plan. The connection cannot update or delete your existing notes.

What content does the connection read?

It can search and list notes, open previews, and retrieve available text from notes in your connected HyNote account. Retrieved content is shared with ChatGPT or Codex for your request. PDF and image notes may provide only an available text snippet rather than the full source.

The meeting ends. The work moves forward.

Capture the conversation in HyNote. Bring it into ChatGPT or Codex, and pick up exactly where the meeting left off.
